Velvet Revolver is an American hard rock supergroup ,formed in
2002 ,three of the members are former Guns and Roses, Slash,
Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum(who also played drums with the bands
Hawk and The Cult) and Scott Weiland, the former lead singer
of the band Stone Temple Pilots, plus Dave Kushner of Wasted
Youth.They recorded their first track “Set Me free” in 2003, a
soundtrack for the movie The Hulk, also recorded their debut
album “Contraband” the same year and was released in June 2004,
it went straight to no. 1 on the Billboard album charts,the
first single “slither” also went no. 1, the album reached
global scales.in August of 2005 the album had sold 2 million
copies in the US alone.In mid 2007 they realeased their second
album,Libertad, it debuted at no.5 in Billboard charts.
